About Farms and Ranches
Farms and Ranches (farmsandranchesforsales.com) has two jobs, in this order:
- Help you find and inquire about a farm or ranch for sale. Every listing comes from a participating brokerage through MyStateMLS, and every inquiry goes to that listing's own agent or brokerage.
- Help you understand the land and the work. Regional crop options from Extension sources, a curated directory of Extension offices, USDA offices, soil labs and providers, and practical guides on equipment, buildings, soil testing and getting started.
What we show, and what we do not
We show participating MyStateMLS listings that are authorized for internet display and whose listing data reports a farm, ranch or agricultural use. See how listings qualify. That is not every farm or ranch for sale: listings from brokerages outside MyStateMLS, private sales and properties that are not marketed online are not here.
Agricultural details on a listing (acreage by use, barns, wells, fencing, irrigation) are what the listing reports. We do not inspect property, measure acres, test soil or water, or review permits, and nothing on this site certifies yields, income, carrying capacity, water rights or buildability.
How the resource center works
Regional crop profiles, guides and directory records are researched from primary sources such as land-grant university Extension services, USDA agencies, SARE and ATTRA, dated when checked, and reviewed before publication. See the editorial policy. The directory is curated, not a list of every provider, and we do not sell placement, publish ratings, or accept payment to appear.
